It's likely due to being BA varying impedance across the spectrum with G7 being 35 ohms output impedance.

Fiio are generally near 0 output impedance. $99 Shanling M0 has .17 ohm outpit impedance, or near 0.

You don't use any source with BA drivers, you should be sure output impedance isn't significant. Dymamic drivers doesn't matter.

The OI of the G7 was measured as 1.6 ohms over at audioscience review. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/...o-measurement-of-lg-g7-thinq-smartphone.4468/

Yes. I knew that the LG phones usually share their dac with many portable/bluetooth source. Because I am actually looking to get the fiio btr5, I was skeptical if the T800's harsh treble would improve after I make the change since the btr5 shares the es9218p with the last two gen of lg phones.

It's definitely comfortable, I'm just not entirely satisfied with the stock tips (much like @Slater) and Westone/Shure seem to have super skinny nozzles too which is why I was wondering if anyone knew whether they're compatible.

If T180 does have the same nozzle size as Shure's then Spinfit CP800 would fit those. I would be trying this once my order arrives.

T800 sounds good on my lgv20, doesnt it share the same dac/amp as the g7?

I actually have the G6 and it only wants to use normal impedance mode for the T800 but ppl are reporting the high impedance mode on all the LG phone works wonder with the T800 which is interesting given it's spec states a 9ohm impedance

Has anyone by chance compared the T800 with a Sennheiser IE800 or Westone Pro 50? Or to other high end IEMs for that matter?

Also, since I'm considering them, do we have any idea how far off the "pro" version is? Would be rather annoying to buy the T800 only for the updated version to be released immediately after!

So are the rumors about a T1000 just memes or is there some truth to it. I'd totally pay like $500 for a T800 with a metal shell :metal:

I agree on that, clear/plastic shells never really did it for me. The ones by Peacock audio are pretty interesting, but apart from that, metal ones like the Kanas and NICEHCK F3 are some of the best looking I've seen from china!

Yeah the T800 and LG G7 doesnt really sound much better than the KZ Zs10 pro with the LG G7, totally not worth 300 usd with that combo. But with the Fiio M11 the T800 is godly and absolutely worth it.

are you listening on LG's normal mode? try to listening on high impedance mode, or AUX mode at least. Trick your G6/G7 with 3.5mm connector (connector go first to your phone, and your iem cable second -wont work if youre plugging connector together with your iem connected) or unplug your iems from its cable, plug the cable first without iems attached, than attach your iems that should trick LG device to go to AUX mode. or if you got impedance plug / or above 50ohm headphone, you can trick the LG device to high impedance mode. I don't have T800 but for my multi BAs iem they are works good. I just switched my phone to V40 and was disappointed at first because the audio quality wasn't up to my expectations so i learnt new things from here and other site.

Oh... :frowning2:
Well, hopefully, Audiosense sees there's a demand for metal shell iems.

I don't have the Westone Pro 50, but I have lower end Westone models, the Westone W30 and Westone 3, and the T800 trumps them in every single department - soundstage, details, imaging, clarity, isolation, etc. For comparison with higher end models, there are excellent reviews by @FastAndClean and others in this forum where they compare those.

The T800 Pro is in very early stages of planning, I doubt they will appear until months later.
There is a new Audiosense hybrid 1DD + 2BA model coming out in the next 2 months, so maybe you can keep your eyes out for that one.

Just received my t800 together with my cca c16.
Can finally understand the hype with the t800! Sadly my miracles are kinda dead now to do a comparison

I’ve not used my C16 once since I got the T800.
