any body compare AD2000x to the Fostex TH-900 ?
In my limited knowledge, Audio Technica have never made a "Reference" headphone that signify their brand, like how HD800, MDRZ1R, LAB2, T1, etc. I wonder when Audio Technica will start charting >$1000 market...
Probably not, the AD2000X is an open back headphone and the TH-900 is a closed back planar in a totally different price bracket so not much comparison. To my knowledge, none of Audio Technica's Air or Art Monitor headphones have a V-shaped sound while the TH-900 is as V-shaped as it gets with extremely boosted bass and treble and mids sucked away into a void beneath them.

The Fostex TH-900 is a closed back dynamic driver headphone.
