This is def a metal/rock headphone. The driver's speed and attack are downright vicious. Makes almost all of my other headphones sound slow, and kind of blended.
Lajon Witherspoon's voice on these is simply amazing. Black, his vocals are no longer in the back and smothered.

Yeah I've never gotten the complaints of them being slow. I keep trying to find things in the price range that beats them and I still can't. I've taken to trying some mild EQ lately and they sound even better to my ears.

I just sold a pair, and now I regret it. These were my first quality pair of headphones; sub-50 dollar garbage before that. Even though I own HD800s now, I miss the AD sound signature...

I too have these headphones(ad900X), paired with a sound blaster z. What are you guys hooking up your AD900X's to? They have low impedance so they ain't hard to drive, but I'm just curious. Do any of you guys use an external amp with these headphones?

Something like a FiiO K1 or a Dragonfly is perfect for these.

I like to pair mine with the most neutral, transparent amp possible. I have an Aune x1s on the way which I hear is neutral/bright which I think will really pair well with the AD's.

I pair mine with an ODAC and an O2. Like so much this combo. ^^

Excuse me guys

AD900x compared to AD700x, how is the fatiguing situations ?
Theres difference as fatiguing during listening between two ?

Specially the AD900x treble is noticeable more sibilance than AD700x or not ?

I dont find them fatiguing, however ive never tried a AD700x so i couldnt comment on them. Theyre damn good imo. They're the only dynamic I have ill place in my upper echelon along with my planars. The planars are all def better, but they keep up

Ive also not heard the 700x but the 900x is anything but fatiguing Id say. They have this certain sweetness to them..this weird magical quality thats hard to describe :p.

After having these cans for about a week I can still notice the highs being somewhat fatiguing but they seem to fit in well with the range of the AD900x.

How long before they start causing you fatigue in a listening session? I'd like to get a pair of these, but I'm afraid they will be like the 500x I tried, which gave me headaches from how piercing they sounded. I currently have the SPH9500, but I miss the huge soundstage of the MA900 I had.
