Audio-Technica Announces Revised ART Monitor Series, New Open Headphones

Fostex was founded by Foster and is their own Brand, manufacturing OEM amongst other things.

So, although you are technically correct, take a deep breath ... its not life threatening.

regards

Haizzz...

It's FosteR goddammit. Not Fostex.

Foster == Fostex. Foster is the parent company and the manufacturing. Fostex is the own brand Foster selling their product. Foster is one of the biggest driver maker in the world.

Interesting :D Will look forward to giving these a try, though I've kind of given up on AT headphones apart from the esw9s

No update for the AD series? Maybe i should get a AD500 or AD700 soon!

Keeping my fingers crossed on that. Been using the AD2000s exclusively as my home headphones for close to 5 months now and have had no urge to upgrade whatsoever. If the AD2000x does get launched for example, i might have to give it a go since the itch would be unbearable, being such a self-professed fan of the AD2000.

So far the prices have not dropped on the current A700/A900s,
Hopefully the current A900s will drop in price for a close out sale.

These will also be available on October 14 with prices ranging from ¥3,000 for the TAD300 to ¥7,000 for the TAD500.

The new ATH-TAD500 is an affordable open-air option.

...in case you can't see it ==

Btw while I'm looking forward to ATH to revise the AD-lineup, I'm also hoping that they'll never do so at the same time orz

I wonder what the change to a traditional headband from the "wing" design will do for perceived weight, tightness, etc. ATs get a lot of criticism for feeling loose on the head....My A900 fit me OK, but I remember I had to keep my head pretty still or they'd flop around.

I really like the light feel of my ATH-AD700s, never had a problem with the AD700s slipping off my head.

I'm guessing the shipping and handling is not refundable and there
might be a restocking fee for refusing the A900s.
