btw looks like he did change the connectors...the 7.1 has nice shinny rca's....as supposed to those cheap rca's that seemed to rub a layer of material off every time I change the connection.

There's a number of PIX on that Page.  Looks like all but the one you showed has the same old connectors on it.   Just because something is shiny doesn't denote quality.  It still looks like it has Neutrik XLRs, what's worng with those?

You spouted a bunch of BS and I'm calling you out for it.  Pure and simple.  Re-read your post I originally responded to.  You stated a bunch of BS as unequivacol fact.  That kind of BS pisses me off.

Looks like he did away with the individual ACSS modules, or at least the little box shape enclosures.  Obviously there is still current output though.

My guess is that it sounds basically the same.

My guess is that you're right.  The ACSS modules are probably not plug-in any more, but soldered directly to the boards.  He only made different modules for one of his voltage gain pre-amps IIRC, so there was no point in having modules that could be changed if nobody was going to change them.
 
Les and Dyno: The child daycares here have a special cot here with mesh around the outside for kids who bite each other.  That's the kind of place I'll be putting both of you if you keep on at each other in this thread like you are.

Having just purchased a 7 its a b**ch to see a 7.1
If I can stop thinking about it I could sit back and listen to the best music my system has ever produced. The burn in on 7 is incredible. Before prolonged burn in its only marginally better than the 5, but after burn in watch out!! Imaging is fantastic and clarity/resolution is, well, the best my system has produced so its incredible.
I wonder if the new discrete output is the same as the discrete OPA's he sells or if its like the output of the more musical DACs, or something new all together.
