The discontinued ROC-SA could put out a full 15W at 50 Ohms. I'm surprised he didn't put speaker taps on it to be honest.

Why did he discontinue it so quickly?

From what I can see, now he almost only offers neutral gear. Yet, one can tune even the neutral gear, for instance, the minumum phase filter sounds warmer.

This is hell of a deal IMO. $500 for a balanced unit with r-core power supply and filters.

*craps pants*
Dude, I was shopping for an NFB-10 this morning and was turned away by the price. I didn't see the SE flavor, whether or not it was there.
Granted, I'm now browsing on my phone while my kids are jumping on me while turning the lights on and off (oh and now there's some flash photography in the dark... aaaaaand now the lights are on again), but that link said $499 promo, right?

circuit design looks a lot neater:
looks like DSP circuitry has been integrated as well (previously DSP module was used)

I only asked Kingwa about changing the "Flavor" label to "Filter" a few days ago. I like to think I had a hand in that lol.

It looks like it uses a different power supply. What's the compromise here for the cheaper price?

I have the DIR9001 interface in my Fun. General sense I get is that people prefer this over the WM8805. Would choosing DIR9001 effectively mean that some of the filters can't be applied?
