Okay

I have just realised what they've done wrong.

The direction of the connector is reversed. I.e. the gnd pin was in the position of the data and etc.

So I removed the pins from the connector and reconnected them in the right order.

Presto!! Works.

Naughty Audio-gd reversing the data, mlck, wclk and etc

Yay happy days!

I managed to solder between the two plugs. I used a 1mm solder tip to get in between.
It has only one chip "Quadruple differential Line Receiver" on it and consume less than 15mA according to AGD's spec, so only minimal noise will be generated.

Excuse my ignorance but what is PLL?

I've just closed up my M11.. Doh!

PLL - Phase locked loop.

The dsp chip on M11 have two PLL built inside, it can be used to reshape input clock (to reduce jitter). But in your case, this will actually increase jitter - SU-1 have much better clock.

Refer to "http://www.audio-gd.com/Master/Master-11/M11EN_Use.htm" --- Jumper1  PLLEN

Okay, thanks for that. I'll quickly reopen and add the jumper.

Wait. So does that mean I have to add the jumper to PLLEN?

Thanks for that. AudioGd instructions can be confusing at times..

Hey guys, is it normal to still hear faint music playing out of your headphones when volume is set to 0? Or should it be dead quiet?

Audio Gd fans, I have few questions:

1) How much better NOS7/Master7 is compare to NOS11/Master11 purely as a dac?

2) How is the performance of the preamp/volume control in the NOS11/Master 11 driving an amplifier and speaker compare to a stand alone preamp?

3) For rock music listening in a highly resolving system, which is better NOS or Master?
