TH600 should have tons more bass (I have a couple of similar models: TH-X00 PH and D2000). Sines don't have the amount, for sure... But the Sines do the lows way tighter, imo. With a few db of boost they get close... But they are not basshead-'phones like the ones mentioned.
 
Also TH600 isn't really a portable pair, like the Sine. Apples & oranges.

I am considering complementing the Sines with a pair of open backs that are comparable to the Sines in terms of resolution and imaging. As you noticed, the Sennheiser HD650s are going to be offered on massdrop at a significant discount. Would it make sense to go for those? Will I be satisfied given my ears are accustomed to the quality of the Sine? If not the HD650, is my only option is to go for the EL8 or the LCD2, which would break the bank of course. Curious to hear from people who had the opportunity to listen to both.

I wanted to tame the highs a bit on the sines using the brainwavz angled pads so I cut 1/4 inch thick 2"x3" rectangular slices of porous foam and inserted them.
It's a very subtle step towards smooth and seems to make the mids slightly more...emolient? Creamy? Rich? I'm out of adjectives. Sh#t sounds delicious.
