Audeze Mobius review / impressions

What 3D mode do you use for FPS games (Valorant) if you need to hear directionality and footsteps clearly?

I've mainly used 3D Manual, but oftentimes I check back on the Audeze app to find that when I look forward, it's uncentered after a certain period of time.

So I'm constantly having to re-center it to make sure the audio isn't off.

3D Automatic works nice, it‘s largly improved in firmware 5.

It compensates for center drift, while staying stable for short and small turns.
A very big (ca. 1/4) head turn triggers recentering.

So how do I take full advantage of those presets? As I remember there was github with all presets being EQ'ed by that auiophile dude I am not able to recall the name of. Do I get the flat one and then choose which preset I want from Audeze hub? Or do I download, say, the RPG preset from github and then choose that same preset from Audeze hub?
Hope that makes any sence! :D
The EQ presets are not for download, but are all built into Mobius hardware.

Perform a short press and scroll the (lower) mic-gain wheel to change the EQ presets within Mobius.
You get a spoken confirmation.

You can even switch Mobius EQ presets from the AUDEZE HQ app if Mobius is connected to your PC.

The following EQ presets are available:

Default
: This is the EQ preset that is tuned to the Audeze House curve.

Footsteps: This enhances footsteps to better hear those sneaking behind you.
Some might say it’s audio radar.

Ballistics: Enhances gunshots and other ballistic sounds so you can clearly pinpoint the enemy in FPS games and take advantage.

Music: This preset is made especially for music and jamming between intergalactic locations.

Racing : Activate those warp drives. This preset is designed for racing.

RPG: This preset is optimized for role playing games and immersion.

Flat: No EQ. You can use this if you are planning to use external EQ options.

Warm: For music, if “Music” sounds too thin.

Hi..

I'm on my 2nd Mobius headphones. Both had issues where they just randomly power off (voice says power off) WHILE I'm playing games or listening to music etc. This has to be some driver issue regarding "power save" or something. Like maybe it thinks Im not using them even tho I am?

Like it happens maybe once a week or so.. But its super annoying because some games crashes because of it (I'm guessing because the audio device selected randomly disappears)..

I'm on Windows 10. Latest firmware/updates etc..

Any solutions? (I wrote a message to Audeze support)

Hi krEJZi, I replied to you directly on support. Please try the steps mentioned.
Yea and I followed your instructions and the problem is still there. So again Im asking for advice. Like why isn't there a feature to disable whatever power saving there is. Or any way to debug? Like why does it randomly just power off even with full battery and in use? I mean it feels like a bug because it SAYS "POWER OFF". So something has to trigger the actual power off feature?..

We can't say for sure. All we can do at the moment is do a rollback of firmware to clear up bugs like this, as well as remove Asio drivers if you have them enabled (on some systems they can cause issues and may need to be removed entirely for the Mobius to work properly). The Mobius is on an older chipset next to the Penrose, and can't do some things as easily.

If you're still having issues, please continue through the email support.

I'm in the same boat, did u find an answer? I think it's impossible unless u buy wireless mic...
I did not although something like the Fiio BTA30 Pro should work. I sold my Mobius for spares and repairs a long time ago because of the broken headband clasp and cheap materials used. Since I was a Kickstarter backer the headset wasn't covered under warranty so I just flogged it. I won't be buying Audeze products until their QC issues are better controlled. Audeze Maxwell will probably end up being the same.

My friends have problem with Cloud Orbit. I checked computer see correctly this headphones, I also checked whether the current flows along paths, cables, whether it reaches transistors and batteries. But Cloud Orbit won't turn on, they're dead.

What could be a problem, battery or something else?

I upgraded from Win 10 to 11. And My Mobius headset is detected as "speaker" rather than headset/headphones. And I cant change it via the windows device configuration. All I can select there is "Stereo".

Not sure if this is normal? I tried pretty much all I can think of. Removing from device list, re-installing HQ etc.

High resolution mode is stereo only. I think you need to change the headphone to 7.1 mode:

"A three-second press of the Microphone Volume Control will toggle through the three audio resolution modes available via USB connection. Those three modes are as follows: [...]"
