I know it's been discussed heavily in this thread, but how about cables for the XC? 

I'm looking at these at the moment:

Has anyone had either of these or both, and wants to comment on SQ?

I have Q cables and they are very nice and easy to use. Also, check out Forza Audio Works. Matthew is in Poland and does a nice job,has fair prices, and quick turn around (compared to others).

For my personal tastes the Q audio cable mates very well with XC sound wise. I tried Toxic Cables, Norne, DHC, ALO cables but the Q Audio gave the most pleasing treble on the XC.

@punit What Norne and DHC cables did you try? I'm thinking of trying the Norne Draug 2 cable. I'm hoping to get a little more punch and clarity.

Thanks for the suggestions. Anyone care to share their thoughts about whether a 1/4" Jack is as good as the balanced jack for the LCD-XC? I'm using a Hifi-M8 4xl - I'd normally just get the 4pin terminated cable but I'm wary that I'll possibly want to use this on other devices with 1/4".

Would you guys recommend either a) buy a cable with balanced 4XL termination and an adapter going from 4XL to 1/4", or b) just buy a 1/4" termination?

I agree too... though I am thinking about getting my new cables with a mini 4 pin XLR and then have adapters to 1/4 and regular XLR

Can anyone offer any thoughts on a good amp under $1000 to pair with the LCD-XCs?  I'll break the bank in a year or two on something higher end but I'm looking for something more affordable right now.  I've read mixed reviews about Schiit, WOO Audio and various other amps when paired with the XC.

If you don't mind 'used', try the Bryston BHA-1. I plays very well with the XCs, and they come up every now and then for under $1000.

Are you looking for just a headphone amp? Or headphone amp plus DAC?

anyone have problems with their XC? Mine just returned from repairs and the right drivers doesn't produce sound,the same with the 1st time I sent them to Audeze. so this has been 2 incident where the right drivers died on me.
