Guys, what do you think sounds better, files from drive C: or from Z:?

….asking for a friend

If you want a fuller more "musical" sound then I recommend spreading the load between 4 drives and its imparative that you label them such - drive B: A: S: S:.

Any tips on how I can overclock my floppy drive to give my Roon Filter better sound stage?

S:\ Right mono file.wav

You have to use more than one floppy drive in series. Floppy drive stronger together, more drives more stage - obviously !

Oh no, I put the Floppy Drives in parallel with my silver plated coper (used to increase warmth) Molex cables now my cans are fried!

8 floppy drives for multichannel (each one requires a purple fuse for optimal results)

the most ridiculous thing this guy has ever said is quite a statement given all the utterly ridiculous things this guy says
Everything the dude says is ridiculous. Ha.

Anyone else notice that the LCD5 lacks sub bass extension? I still like its livelier presentation. Susvara's go a lot deeper and seem better at instrument separation but also feels more distant from the music. Susvara's don't slam as much as the LCDs though. They seem very complimentary.

Current EQ (chrono tweak):
  • Low Shelf at 85hz, +8.5dB Q of 0.7
  • Peak at 3000hz, -1.5dB Q of 3
  • Peak at 5500hz, -1.25dB Q of 4
  • High Shelf at 6000hz, +2.5dB Q of 0.7

No, I hear the opposite. Are you wearing glasses?

No, he put all his music and filter files in the K: drive, which makes it sound too harsh. He should move everything to the B: drive, that'll fix it.
He didn't put his filter files in B: drive? What will you tell me next, he used a Cooper molex cable for his floppy drive?

Hmmm. Yeah i definitely hear deeper sub bass extension on the Susvara. LCD5 Eq'd with low bass shelf has more energy, slam but I don't think it goes as low. That is my perception. Like 80% as deep as the Susvara goes.

Hmm, looking at the frequency response the the Susvara goes down to 6Hz and LCD5 to 5Hz. So maybe the increased ear gain might make me perceive it to not go as low? Seems like my ears might be deceiving me, but that's what I hear. :)

Everyone's ears are different. You could just be hearing sub bass bloom in the susvara. If there is second order distortion on the sub bass for the susvara, it will sound more elevated.

Lcd5 has more mid bass which masks the sub bass.

Susvara lacks mid bass so the sub bass is more perceivable.
