Audeze LCD-3 Impressions Thread

Just sold my LCD-4 which had new drivers and leather pads installed by Audeze. Preferred my 2 year old LCD-3’s. Yes, the 4’s are more detailed and have better bass definition, but the 3’s have a thicker meatier low end that I prefer, similar to my Empyreans that I love. No reliability issues with the 3’s. My 4’s were built in 2016, so went over 8 years before the left driver failing.

Kennerton Heartland is about as good as it gets in my opinion if you’re looking for something with a darker, very mid-forward rich & AMAZING bass. My holy grail headphone. Vocals are a jaw dropping experience along with possibly the best bass I’ve be ever heard on any headphone competing alongside that vintage lcd4 I was mentioning.

Any idea how to get one. They are all out of stock...

Check Audio46, they have a light & purple wood in stock it looks like. Probably the last 2 around due to war sanctions & these troubled times..

Note they have a planar & dynamic version. I am referencing the planar one.

Does anyone have eq setting for Audeze LCD-3 Fazor (LCD-3F) when using the newer free leather pads? I noticed that EQ presets from InEarFidelity or Oratory1990 were likely made using the older leather pads, which might result in a less neutral sound with the newer pad versions.

If anyone has adjusted those presets or created their own specifically for the newer pads, I’d really appreciate it if you could share. Thanks
