Try putting some folded tissue paper behind the grill. You may find the SQ further improved!
Add me to the LCD-3 list.
Love the sound signature. I came from the Senny HD 700. LCD3 is a big improvement.
Can someone give me a pointer (link) to longer Audeze cables? I find the stock ones too short.

Congrats and welcome to the LCD3 club. Every single time I listen I have wow moments.
Here is a cable maker's latest review "http://www.head-fi.org/t/695297/the-new-headphone-lounge-thread/240#post_10760612" I echo the reviewers comments. Lead time, price, and most importantly sound, all those boxes are ticked with Ted.
Enjoy and as others have said welcome to the club!
How do you like your Oppo?

Thanks for that.
Wow moment are everywhere at the moment.
Larger soundstage. Are we suppose to hear things in different position on each side. I'm listening to Dexter Gordon at the moment. Drums at top, string instrument on left and sax kinda between top and bottom on right. I haven't heard that before.
Treble is smooth. HD 700 distorts. I had to EQ them. Not using EQ now.
Bass. Well we all know that about the Audeze range. What I didn't expect was to hear different notes.
Mids. No comment. Sound perfect to me.
These HP's are staying in the family forever. I will pass them on to my sons when I'm gone.![]()
Talking about the new fazored 3s? Or the classic? I had the 3(c) and while they were just beautiful in a dark sort of way I traded in on the X and these maintain everything I loved about the 3s but with better airiness, a bit more neutrality, superior treble response, and still that good old Audeze bass that we all know and love. The X just do it all for me. However I would really like to hear the new 3s some day to compare with my remembrance of the 3(c) I had and now the X. Basically I think it is just hard to go wrong with whatever Audeze headphone is the choice du jour really...
