Perhaps they need to release a version with rubber cups. Maybe they could even use the kind that bounces when it hits something.
MacedonianHero, NapalmK, have you tried Grado PS1000? are you ok with the weight?
I get headache, literally due to pressure on the top of my head, just within 10 mins, it is a horrible headphone, I mean, physically!!!
HD650 elongated oval shape + ferocious clamp is quite disturbing, I always have to rearrange its sitting position not to press my jaws join, its not quite comfortable, or maybe I have a short face???![]()
Hope LCD-2 is not another jaw clamping device.
rolotube, LCD-2 soundstage is smaller than 'spacious' HD650? ??? this is the first time I read statement like this about LCD-2. Are you sure?
pp312: Don't suppose you could make it to the Sydney meet on Sunday? You could try a pair for yourself.
Quote:"Why would you want to drop a wooden headphone or for that matter, any headphone from 2 feet. I realize of course you don't want to drop it so I don't see the validity. It makes as much since as testing your skull. It may survive, it may not."
Guys, come on! Have you never got up, stepped on the cord and ripped the phone off your head? Of course you have; it's one of the joys of headphoning. And where does the phone go after flying off your head, often with your ears still attached? By Newton's Law, straight to the floor, of course.
Let's get real here.
Remind me never to buy equipment from you.![]()
I wonder how much the LCD-2 improve when balanced. Right now they are driven by the Phoenix, which isn´t that good in single ended. Soon I´ll knowI´m already liking the non-bright/sibilant easy to listen sound signature, but some more soundstage would be welcome. Maybe in LCD-3 someday
They are still my favourite cans though.
Any body has the same problem of mine and I would like to know how to solve that.
I have the plastic adjustment block cracked both sides, and I replaced with the aluminum replacement
provided. However the adjustment block become loose and It can not hold in the same position of the
adjustment and the headcup can now rotate like almost 360 degree. Should I tighten the screw to correct
that?

There's a meet on Sunday? (I'm about 100ks from Sydney).
Dear Frank I
Thanks for your suggestion , I will try that before calling Alex & Sankar.
I believe the LCD2 is heavier than the PS1000, so you might want to beware.
Yeah, I got the jaw clamp from the LCD2 (the cups are huge), which was very off-putting, but having stretched it, the problem is far less.
Also, I had a fairly early LCD2, which I believe (from reading a previous post), was a bit clampier than those in the later batches. Certainly Hngls' LCD2 is far less clampier than mine ever was.

Oh, but I observe the difference is that LCD-2 has foam padding on the headband while PS-1000 doesn't. I would say that will help, ... hope so ...
Do you get headache when wearing PS-1000?
