I recently got on the order list and received an automated email confirmation. However I had e-mailed a few days earlier with a question but got no reply.

Good to hear!

Alex and Sankar have always been patient and understanding in my dealings with them, though they probably get swamped and can't always respond to emails immediately.  Heck, I can't even respond to all my emails in a timely fashion at work myself.

I ordered on July 5th. I hope they won't forget me.....

I'm with you, i preordered on the 4 of July and confirmed on the 5th.  I am back on the fence lately though because I have lost the situation of using an open headphone for the moment.  I was ready to rock last month but things changed.  Probably get it anyway but much less use now

Ordered around June 21st and got a confirmation notice today. Apparently these are coming out in batches.

I preordered June 28th and got my order form yesterday. The phones shipped today and even with the standard, "economy" shipping, they are expected to land on Friday.

I thought it was funny that the email with the tracking number didn't include the courier name. Looking back at the receipt even, all we know about the shipping is that it's "economy."

Through the process of elimination, I figured out it's FedEx.

I had a Eureka moment last night when I finally plugged everything into a power conditioner. Bingo - now the Audeze were layering believably in depth, there was roundness and body to the sound sources (instruments and voices), smoother timbres (that slight edginess I sometimes heard seems to be gone), and great texture/detail on good recordings. The space around things was palpable. The bass is now really phenomenal. A revelation...

Yes curious what amps give the LCD-2 depth? That is not a strong point for the LCD-2 in my book. Soundstage is very wide but little forward depth here.

I bought a power-conditioner for my gear a while back, but for surge protection more so than sound quality. I can't say whether it makes any sonic differences as these things just filter out the sound spectrum that is double what we at  >18 yrs have trouble hearing -40khz.

Was the power conditioner installed on the same outlet you were using before? Or was the whole system moved? just curious.

Also, which amp are you currently using?

Perhaps it was more so you finally got used to the sound signature and it's psychoacoustics. The "audeze wall" definitely seems to take getting used to, before it is transformed into believable depth and detail. Doesn't mean they have the best headstage, but it is not bad or gradoesque. It's like a new pair of shoes, your feet stay more or less the same, but each new pair takes a little while before they feel like your shoes, instead of something you bought at the store.

Plug the LCD-2 into and iPod, and then your reference system. I will sound good regardless of what is playing it, just not necessarily at its best.

The best hope I have with a power conditioner is like Alex, just protect my gear and get out of the way with the sound. My old Monster condition did the first part, but sadly did not get out of the way with the second part.

My PS Audio Duet does both...protects my gear and doesn't mess with the sound (i.e. sounds as good as if it wasn't there). I have not been able to ever detect an improvement with the sound with a conditioner.
