I'm looking forward to comparing the LCD-2 with the L3000, which is my current go-to. Unfortunately my Edition 8 was sold so I could pre-order the limited version. This October though I should be able to compare the LCD-2 to not only the Edition 8, but the Edition 10 as well if anyone is interested.

Dang, you have quite an impressive collection going there. I can't wait until I can afford my first high end rig. Looking forward to the comparison.

Received my LCD-2 on Sep 3rd. Sound quality is amazing out of my Denon receiver. Here is some pics

So that's where they put that new washer. Might be good to know some time... that headphone stand of yours looks good, is it friendly to the foam padding on the LCD-2?

Good pictures by the way :-) Got a graph with that?

Given the weight and the odd foam of LCD-2 I highly doubt my Headphile stand is friendly to the LCD-2 as well as many other stands

Pics were taken with a borrowed Nikon D90 and they are posted as is, no touch up.

Thank you guys for your compliments

Ahhh, That's why they removed the initial adjustment rod protector, when fully extended it would knock them off....still, its better than a scratched headband....which mine has two of on both sides.  Its good to see the washers in place as well.

Need moar impressions from people who have heard the LCD-2 from THE β22.

Would have loved to post some this Saturday but FedEx decided to deliver my cans from the Ottawa airport through Tennessee? /facepalm

Good luck with that and I'm looking forward to it. Currently doing casework for mine and I have to say that this is the most difficult part of the build. The amplifier itself is relatively straightforward to build actually, just need to be careful with orientations and which part goes where.

So at least one other person besides me ordered the Limited Edition Ed 8

Nice!  I wish they would get here already...

Here is my comparison of the LCD-2 to the L3000:  LCD-2 = wonderful, L3000 = awful (sorry, can't help it - I really didn't like the sound of the L3000)

But I will for sure look forward to your LCD-2 to Edition 10 comparison!

Any more opinions on cables for the LCD-2? There have been mainly favorable reports concerning the Alo cable and they now have two cables for the LCD-2. Soloz Audio also has two different cables and I'm unsure about other companies such as APuresound, Moon-Audio etc.

I have a slightly different opinion on the LCD-2 vs L3000 with the following caveats: limited listening as I received both of them recently (although I've owned the L3000 in the past), both phones have not been broken in (yes, the L3000 is apparently NOS) and one phone is at home and the other at work so no direct comparisons yet. Have stated those caveats, I guess my opinion is actually meaningless

, but I do like both phones so far. My very preliminary take is that the LCD-2 has a significantly better low end but I do enjoy the more forward midrange presentation of the L3000. I have just purchased a pair of Ed8s from stuckonsound and am very interested how they compare (mainly with the L3000 since I need a closed phone at home).

Off-topic: Where can the ED10 be pre-ordered?

I had a Eureka moment last night when I finally plugged everything into a power conditioner. Bingo - now the Audeze were layering believably in depth, there was roundness and body to the sound sources (instruments and voices), smoother timbres (that slight edginess I sometimes heard seems to be gone), and great texture/detail on good recordings. The space around things was palpable. The bass is now really phenomenal. A revelation...

Clean power can make a big difference!!  Congrats!  Remember the "weakest link" axiom!!
