Just out of curiosity, whats everyones guess as to how many LCD-2's were sold?

Ah.. okay that makes more sense. I guess the few hours i waited made a big difference. I keep hoping i'll receive them today or tomorrow.

Am also in the same situation. Ordered late night on 23rd and order number is 1390XX. I expected it today but no luck, maybe tomorrow.

My order still says "Completed - - Awaiting Shipment" also...however, the headphones were delivered yesterday (Wednesday 11.30) so hopefully yours will arrive tomorrow. They do require a signature, so be sure someone is home to sign for them.

So you've been listening to the LCD's for a bit, switched back to the 770's for a full session, and you're noticing a huge improvement in the LCD's? Do you feel justified in your purchase now?

However the LCD-2 seems to have taken some albums from one of my favorite artists and revealed them to me to be flawed in the mastering/mixing department and they are difficult to listen to

The DT770's won't really hide crappy recordings though, either. In fact, LCD-2's are known for being a more forgiving headphone for bad recordings vs a lot of other headphones.

I just got an email update. Looks like they've shipped it and expect to arrive on the 5th..also Theyre sending it via UPS. Though the order was for 2 day FedEx.

Just got the email as well, UPS and mine won't arrive until the seventh. I'm just glad I'm getting a pair. Now to work on my patience.

I just received my ship notice too.  My order was in the 1403XX range.  No date yet on the tracking number for delivery, but since I'm in Northern California, I'd hope it'd be here in a day or two.

So, are the LCD-2 good for Metal/Rock/Thrash/all that fast guitar and double bass stuff?  A lot of my other headphones aren't. I don't like the TH-X00 for that stuff. I do like my EL8-O though. They have been the only heapdhones that have made my Hairbands listenable. If the LCD-2 can do the same and better,  I'll probably put the EL8 up for sale.

I hear they're great for metal. Will confirm when I get mine . That's mostly what I listen to. Been listening to The Zenith Passage's The Solipsist album this week in flac. Sounds great on my Philips x2.

LCD-2 has great bass, great mids, and great treble. Therefore, whatever genre of music you want to play, they sound great!
