What's the shipping cost to Mars?  Is it as bad as Hawaii?

The Rosewood sounds like rain drops on rose petals, and the Bamboo sounds like a Panda farting in the forest.

I own the Bamboo. Pandas are pimp.

Are there any sonic differences between the rosewood variant and bamboo variant? Or is it purely for aesthetics?

Nope

Man, now that I got some upgraded tubes and the Gumby, the LCD-2 still continues to surprise me with it's ability to resolve is just something else. The tonal balance is lush and it just has this way of emoting but at the same time bringing a well balanced presentation to the music. Maybe I find myself reaching for the HD650 more but it certainly has become less and less as I've gotten better equipment. What a great headphone, especially at it's current price point.

i was trying to take the cups off of the swivel but couldn't get the little bolt to loosen so gave up.;. wasn't worth stripping or ruining something. I wanted those things painted some cool color.

I'm aware that hi-fi cans like these will showcase flaws in less than optimally mastered recordings. I've noticed some graininess in some already (particularly with guitars) and not in others. I'm wondering if this graininess is part of what Tyll at Innerfidelity described and is something that's just inherent in the LCD-2 and is not present in the LCD-3; or is it likely the music I'm listening to (or both)?
