Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread

On my set, I find no reason to add more bass - it is already is massive - going all the way down. With these new pads on my rev.1. there is plenty of air and sparkle too. It's a delicate balance, but this must be rather close to perfect, if not spot on.

  LCD 2's for the win.  I just my Asgard 2 in the mail and I'm pretty impressed with the new overall sound combination of the two

The A2 + LCD-2 is a nice sounding setup imo.  Congrats!

  Hm, you could probably sell your LCD-2 and buy a new one for a decent amount less than it would cost for the upgrade. However, the upgrade would probably be a lot easier.

I paid $1280 for my LCD 2.2, Cash, in December last year..

Not sure if I'm willing to dump another $250 into it.

Unless of course, it helped with re-sale value... But I don't see myself selling them anytime soon.

So, in basic layman terms -

Fazor = Brighter signature?

Wow, what caused it to cost that much?

Well, we're not quite sure what it does. Audeze has mentioned things like a more balanced FR and a "holographic" soundstage, but I'm waiting until Tyll and a few others compare the fazor and non-fazor models before I'm convinced of what it does.

Also in Australia Addicted to Audio have raised their prices on the LCD models. $2585 for LCD3 and $1550 for the rosewood LCD2 - $2285 for the LCDX and $2395 for the XC. I hope headphonic sticks to their current pricing and does not go up to the same value.

Heres some other ridiculous prices on A2A site. Ultrasone ED10 $3799 - ED8 Romeo $2500 - Fostex TH600 $1295 - Grado PS1000 - $2200

Yeah great for us Aussies
