I'm gonna assume it's the same general physical dimensions as the Audeze Mobius in open back form, right?

Are the pads removable? Wouldn't mind trying these out if I could fit some other pads like some Shure 1540 Alcantara pads that fit on the Mobius. With some finagling.

...Also, the LCD 1’s are born in USA, like the rest of Audeze’s flagship LCD line. What does that mean? They are conceived, prototyped and manufactured entirely in the US

I was quite disappointed by SINE, hopefully it's not a circum SINE(pun intended )?

I do love my LCD-2 headphones. I had the SINE and really was not a fan and sold them. These new ones look interesting due to their lightweight, and compactness (maybe for travel in a quiet hotel room).

Great design, great price. I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering how it compares to Mobius, though I imagine the main differences will be due to the open-back design. I’m sure many consumers will also shop these against the LCD-2 Classic.

All jokes aside, I'm thrilled that Audeze finally released an LCD series headphone that won't leave me with a sore neck. This, combined with the reasonable pricing, makes me think that Audeze may have a real winner on their hands.

To me, the LCD-1 sounds like the LCD-X but with a more exciting treble response. For an Audeze headphone, it's extraordinarily lightweight. I can see this headphone being a great for working out with, or for bringing to a meetup easily.

According to reports thus far, it seems like the the 1 will not have quite the same bass impact as you get from the 2C.
