Can anyone recommend a balanced cable for these in the UK? Ideally with choice of termination...

Yes, select the iSines for both. Turn off the limiter and mess with the gain at will.
As far as noise leakage, not very much due to the small diaphragm size and the 'semi-open' design. Much less than any full-size open headphone I've heard.Hi, very late to the party here, and these questions would no doubt have already been answered, but do they really reach their full potential via listening with Cipher cable, and is there a lot of noise leakage?
I'm considering the 20s or the SE846. Which is better?
Cheers.
The only idevice I have is an old iPod touch, which won't last forever, and I'd rather not re-invest into the Apple ecosystem once it dies. So I'm gathering a basic eq is good enough? There was a similar issue with the full sized Sine headphones and I'm very happy with them via adequate amplification without the Cipher. Is this the same case with the isine? As far as noise leakage, not very much due to the small diaphragm size and the 'semi-open' design. Much less than any full-size open headphone I've heard.
I get good sound using a basic EQ on my Mac but I don't have any of the plug-ins that others mention here, so from my point of view the Cipher cable is the way to go. I bought them portable use anyway so it's perfect for my particular usage
Lots of folk are very happy without the Cipher cable and as I say, through iTunes on my Mac I can get them sounding pretty good with the 10-band EQ. If you have similar on a portable device I think they're fantastic. The only idevice I have is an old iPod touch, which won't last forever, and I'd rather not re-invest into the Apple ecosystem once it dies. Are the 10's close enough to the 20's in sound quality? What are the differences? Old questions, I know, sorry about that.
