I use the reveal plug in with foobar2000 to my fiio q1 mark 2 then out to my isine 10's. would I get better sound if I used equalizer apo instead of the reveal plugin ?

Well EQ APO is free, so you can try it if you'd like. EQ APO is required to apply the Reveal Plugin to the entire computer's audio output instead of whatever comes out of Foobar2000.

ok I guess I don't need it then I only listen to music on foobar2000.

to the person asking about the isine 10 vs 20 - I bought the 10's due to the price - in Canada they were $540 and the 20's were about $900 at the time.
with the price difference plus a small amount I picked up a used hifiman edition X V2 and I am very happy with both. I would have preferred the 20's and im sure they sound better but I only listen to the isines at work at home I listen to my hifimans to me it wasn't worth buying the 20's as I wouldn't listen to them that much

So i decided to go with the 10. The 20 do have that touch more refinement and top end extension. Separation seemed slightly better too, but i will be using them portably so differences may not be too noticeable. I figure i can use eq to bring out the top end. I will be using the extra funds to go toward the SE846. Not as open sounding but damn that bass is hsrd to resist.
Edit: the around ear clips are very uncomfortable, can't wear those for more than half an hour. The inner ear clips are heaps more comfy and seem to be holding them fairly securely. Wouldn't go jogging with them though.

Are the 10's supposed to come with a set of ribbed tips as well? I only got the smooth ones.

Whatever your choice is the isine 10 or isine 20 they are both one of the best sounding iems or headsets in price range youll have
Have them about 9 months now and the isine20 they still blow me away
Tried alot of planar headphones in high range classes (2000 - 3000 dollars) which sounded also great ofcourse, but different not really better.

The only step up for me were the electrostatic headphones from stax and other brands which had mid's and high's to die for but then...lacking alot of low end

I found this cable in my desk was for my UE 11pro - I forgot I even had those lol. I will have to fiddle with them to get the fitting good with the isines but it sounds really good - not sure how compares to stock isine cable yet, 20180726_101548.jpg it is probably a cheap cable I don't remember where I bought it from. I am still trying to find a balanced 2.5mm cable online

edit - i'm sure this cable sounds better then the stock audeze cable.

The supplied tips were hurting my ear holes so I pulled the middle plastic tubes out of the middle of a pair of small complys and fitted them. Soooo much more comfortable. Sound is very similar to the point where I probably couldn't tell the difference n a blind test.

Very impressed with the 10's. They don't quite sound like full sized headphones, but they're pretty close. As close as any iem will get. A few Ergonomic issues, but they can be overcome.

Edit: actually the complys don't sound the same as the supplied olives. They actually give a little bass boost, which is great for me because I was eqing a few db of bass boost with the supplied olives. With the complys I leave the eq flat.

Interesting. That is a 'de-cored Comply'? What series and style? I seem to recall a reduction in the lowest bass. Tried every size and style of the biggest, t600 series. Stock and modified (cut/shaved), reversed, you name it. Was my favorite until JVC Spiral Dots.

I'm not sure if they are genuine comply. They were supplied with some iem i have, so i don't know what series they are. They just fit when de-cored. Perhaps I should've said "foam" instead of comply.

Yes pretry much. As a Monolith m300 owner I and numerous other members were purchasing kits from Audeze to get replacement earclips and groovy scone tip's. After a couple months we noticed they raised the price and required a purchase verification for a reasonable price

I want to get some of those groovy tips. Does anyone know if I can purchase those at the discounted price if I own a second hand isine 20?
