Hi Guys,

Can any of you give me some guidance, I will be picking up some I Sine 20 this coming weekend, can anyone advise me what EQ settings I should use to get the best out of them with my Questyle QP2R and AK 380 Copper with Copper Amp.

Thanks

Tony

Hows does QP2R sounds as compared with AK 380 CU + Amp?

I would give them a listen, for a few days, THEN EQ to your specific needs, rather than follow someone else EQ Graph, BUT there are a few suggestions in this thread, on EQ settings

Do the iSines still require lots of eq? I had the 20s when they first launched and returned them after two weeks of being irritated that I could only get the sound I wanted with the cypher cable vs the 3.5 cable. I never tried the audeze plugin for my pc since I either didn’t know about it back then/ it may not of been out back then.

If you thought they needed EQ before, you'll still think they need EQ. : )

The Reveal plugin works very well, so if you're listening on PC, should be easy enough if you've got EqualizerAPO or you're listening with software that you can use the plugin.

I am pairing my isine20 with Ar-M2 and WM1A Dap.. so far no eq needed. To me its good enough. Just nice. the original tuning :)

Ahh I see. I loved the open back design but with my FiiO q5 and oppo ha2 I didn’t get the same feel as the cypher cable and was hoping by now maybe a revision may have been done to the iSines. I had the original launch one with the big cypher cable and I know they have since updated that to be smaller.

As far as I know the revisions have just been on the cable side. For portable use, if you're listening via a DAP or using software on your phone that allows EQ, you can probably sort out a solution that will work with your portable amps. But if you're using Tidal etc. and don't have an EQ option, than you may have difficulties.

Might be good news for iSine users who like EQ but prefer external amplification:

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/mon...mpressions-thread.860046/page-5#post-14493175

Upcoming Monoprice THX portable amplifier includes customizable parametric EQ settings, according to the manual. There aren't a lot of existing options in the portable amp market that do that -- Shure makes one that costs $1k, there's the Minidsp HA-DSP, and this.

I assume there is still no usb-c cable from Audeze. Since I use S8, is there any official or similar app for eq to get cipher cable sound? Also does someone know the post number in which Audeze revealed eq settings in this thread?
Thanks.
