Audeze CRBN Interview, Review, Measurements

Indeed… Ah… Never with the Omega. Cos the fit is on the loose side. Come to think of it, not so much with the 009S where the ear pads are stiffer. :)
It seemed to me the 009 wasn't reported as such a farter by comparison.

What I know is the STAX fart is nowhere near as intrusive as CRBN and it's also far more variable.

Already created an RMA. I got these as part of the Adorama "Black Friday" sale, so I'm within the 30 day return window. They'll send me a new pair (hopefully).
Good luck. I should send mine back again but it is too much trouble for me. I just don’t use them anymore.

I'm taking advantage of the free return shipping and the fact that I chatted with them prior to buying them to CONFIRM I was getting A-Stock and not B-Stock open box. My buddy thinks it's because these were early production models before a "redesign".

I love the sound (just takes some getting used to), but I'm not keeping $5,000 setup if I can't even move my jaw without causing them to freak out...

You can check the production date on the warranty card. I think if the date’s before March 2022, most likely it’s the old stock prior to ”redesign”. Mine is at end of March.

This happens with the slightest touch, not putting my palm on the backs. I can literally yawn and the "farting" starts. It doesn't go away, either. Once they "fart", it is continual. I have to shut the whole rig down and restart it. If Estat are this sensitive, they may not be for me...
You're a bit late to the thread so I forgive you.
The previous 109 pages are of people, my self included, becoming increasingly upset that Audeze thinks this level of "fart" is acceptable. I had my pair changed out and the issue remained. It's a function of how they created the seal. Some Stax do this a bit, but it's no where near level. The x9000, for example, is made to fit without a seal, so it never farts.

@ColSaulTigh you certainly have a bad sample. In the early batches they were quite common.

My CRBN only Farted when I put them on or off too fast or when I Pressed on the earcups.
Essentially only when the air in the earcups got significant pressure.

Chewing, moving the head and stuff like that was silent as with regular headphones and when it farted (actually more a loud crinkling) then it was a short sound not a permanent issue
