Unfortunately no. You should tell your local dealer to carry them though!

One more pic of the other LTD Edition Blackwood version we'll be starting off with. More details soon.

We'll be offering the LTD Blackwood version in both Solid Brass and Black Aluminum as pictured.

The "stock" Auteur will be in Teak wood for the foreseeable future. Will have pictures of that next month.
Looks fantastic!

Another quick question, can the rubber pieces in the headphone slider be replaced? I used to bring these to work for a while and had to adjust the sliders to fit them into my carrying case every day. Now the sliders are a bit looser than they were originally, one side even has a small piece of the rubber peaking out of the slider, and the sliders now have a tendency to loosen after a few hours of use.

Also, do the posts for the new headband on the Auteur have the same thread as the Eikons?...not that I'm thinking about swapping out the headband for one of those sexy clicking adjustment ones...

Later this week/weekend.

Klipsch vs ZMF battle soon! 2 open biocellies. Plus maybe Fostex prototypes of open will be released. Anyway with 500rp prices down, i'm surprised the fostex group hasn't produced more open bio-cellies as they seem to be interchangeable (need to find pic).

Nonetheless, open biocellies leaves a sweet flavor on the tongue :p good times 4 audio nerds.:D

Thanks for your impressions. I currently have and really enjoy the Aeons but have also lusted after Eikon for a while now (especially in Camphor!). Can't afford to own both, which makes my decision tougher. I like that the Aeon are relatively small and can easily be taken on planes, trips etc., whereas the Eikon appears to be a bit more cumbersome. Obviously a worthwhile tradeoff though if the Eikon trumps the Aeon by a mile.

Yeah, the Eikon definitely is very large and not one you'd really want to take on a plane (I wouldn't). The Aeon are better in that regard (also isolate better), but still very large. I'll be getting a pair of IEMs for the plane I think, or something like the Bose QC35. They are nowhere near as good, but no matter what headphones, you're going to get a bunch of sound leaking in on a plane flight and you're not going to get all the advantages of a great pair of headphones anyway.

I have Bose QC15 and QC25 headphones that I take on planes over my ZMF Ori, Atticus and Eikon headphones. The ZMFs are superior sounding to the Bose, but on a plane, the Bose cancels much of the noise and one will hear much more of the music meaning it probably sounds better in the environment for which it was designed.

Exactly my thoughts.

For anyone interested in hearing the Atticus, Eikon or Auteur, they will be at the indulgence show this weekend in the UK - then next week I'll be at RMAF showing off the whole line-up!

Working hard to get everything ready for the "Auteur" page on ZMFheadphones.com - you'll probably see it up this sunday.

Here's a link to the indulgence show for those interested!

Hey guys - I'm working hard on getting into up on the website and it'll either be up late tonight or tomorrow late. In the meantime you can watch my appearance on HF TV here, I have it fast-forwarded to my appearance.

And for those wondering:

African Blackwood will be available in your choice of Black or Brass grille and rod @ $1899 list/ $1699 pre-order and Teak will the standard wood for the foresee-able future for $1599 list and $1399 pre-order. The blackwood will be limited to 100 units, we're going to be doing limited runs of headphones throughout the year after each run sells out. It'll give us a chance to work ahead more, have timely delivery and work with some really cool exotic woods. For those interested in weight the Blackwood version weights about 620g with brass and 560 with Aluminum, the Teak will come in around 475g.

Sorry for the wait for all the details, getting everything ready for RMAF and getting the website up on this stuff all attacking me at once!

To those that have heard both the A and E, which do you think works better for low level listening? That its, in terms of bass impact / quantity and HF "energy".

I've read about both being good - the E for its linear presentation; and the A for its slightly more boosted / thicker mid bass.

With the A's more rolled off HF, do they need higher volume to sound dynamic? (more so than the E)

Wow...My wife is going to break my arm!
So, someone who has heard the new HP called them "more resolving than a Beyer T1" and not sibilant, not unlike a STAX-007...high praise!

@zach915m can you confirm you will be @ CanJam NYC?

And can i finally post pics of my Atticus :) ?
