@zach915m just a quick question, I'm guessing it would be too difficult, so there won't be a way to 'upgrade' an Eikon into an Auteur, will there? I'm sure that'd be a bit of an entailed process, if it can be done at all. (I apologize if it's been asked already, but I don't think it has.)

Pre-order is Nov 11th. There's even a countdown timer on the page. I think it just says sold out so it will prevent you from being able to add it to the cart.

There are some pics floating around of the pair that was sent to the UK show. However, I don't have them. I'm sure that even if there are no official pics of them released before RMAF there will be plenty of videos with them from RMAF for you.

Unfortunately this isn't possible for us, the design is completely new, so it would require a complete disassembly and complete reassembly which would take more time than just building one headphone. As an aside, the Eikon and Atticus are absolutely fantastic, and being closed they suit different needs and I wouldn't consider the Auteur always better, it just depends on your subjective tastes and needs.

We are starting the pre-order on November 10th at 10am CST USA. If I messed up the countdown timer let me know! You'll also be able to preorder from our dealers, Hivemind Cables in Canada, and Zeppelin and Co. in Singapore.

I screwed up and got a bunch of woods to try but not teak for the Auteur. I then made myself an Eikon out of Teak (there's only one and it's MINE!) and realized how fantastic a wood it is. So at RMAF we will have a few different wood version of the Auteur but no Teak. We're machining the Teak cups right now and will have pics by mid october on the site. It's a fabulous wood.

EDIT: Zach informed me that the one at the UK show was a Padauk prototype.

That's exactly what I thought.
A guy can dream though, right?
I'm still looking forward to hearing them!
(And yeah my Eikon is friggin awesome)
