If an audiophile dies for his black Gungnir, does it make a sound?

(this thread has detoured into the surreal--where I live)

A more "context-relevant" question is: If an audiophile dies for his black Gungir, does he decompose--or just continue buying equipment similar to what he already owns?

Nice imaging and soundstage. Great vocals. Sounds especially awesome from the S/PDIF input.

Hmmm... Gungnir MB and Musette get into a brawl - who wins?

Running a Bimby ATM...

Another Metrum Musette owner.  Very nice DAC.  Very natural sounding but very very slightly rolled off the top - a characteristic of most NOS DACs.

Only if it is of 24 bitdepth and through the proper headphone.

What tube do you prefer with the Solstice and the Atticus ?

My favorite is the Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8. I like the Russian "Rocket" tubes as well, as they have a nice, intimate midrange. But the Bugle Boy 6DJ8 gives you the intimate mids, plus air, lots of detail, a hint of sparkle and a very three dimensional stage.

I joked the other night that I should get a little tag like this for the Bugle Boy's box:

Until now, I was very calm, just patiently waiting for my Eikon and Ori to be done ... Today, I received the notice from Zach, telling me that my order is ready for shipping ... And it begins !! I'm like a kid just before christmas :D ! Next week is going to be one of the longest week in my life :) !
