Astell & Kern SR25: The next A&norma player

Just a thought: Lithium batteries can suffer from swelling which obviously isn't good.
I've always followed a practice of not fully charging a Lithium battery as its my belief that over charging is the root cause.
My background is in engineering, specially DC power systems with a heavy emphasis in battery technology.
I can state my personal experience in that I've never had any battery fail since I started following this practice.
I can state that in the industry I work in, swelling is an issue and Lithium batteries fail.

Please take into account that there are different battery types, even Lithium. So I have to generalise.
The advantages outweigh the negatives. But maybe look at whether you can alter the way you charge? Stop before you get to 100% and you might end the terrible luck you are having!
All the words above I now live by. I used to leave my SR25 plugged in ALL THE TIME to the port of my MacBook, as I was often loading and unloading music onto it.
That is, until the shocking day, that the battery bulged, compromised the glue and pushed the back plate out, and I had to return the player that was just barely still in the warranty period!
Never again do I “just plug in” the player(s) I own from A&K. I try and not bring them to 100% charge, either. If the player happens to drain and power down during a listening session, then so be it!

Thinking of upgrading to the SR35? You're invited to read my full review this terrific little player here.

I wonder if it would be possible to install Hiby Music (via Apk) on the SR35 and if then I will be able to play Sacd iso files?

I'm trialling an alternative solution, I've bought a decent power bank which (from the data I've been able to find) has a rather decent trickle charge.
It's description of being designed for sensitive IEMs caught my attention.
I've had it for a week and have used only this to charge the LiPo equipment I use. Obviously I cannot state that it will solve the issue, time is going to decide.
But I am confident the route this manufacturer went is the same as that implemented on equipment I have previously been involved with.

Would it be worth purchasing a A&K Sr25ii if I get a great deal?thanks for opinion
I don't have the SR25II, and I've never listened to one, but I do have the original SR25 and it is all I need. It sounds great with the music I have loaded on to a microSD card, and it streams well over wifi. At this time, I'll keep listening to it until it gives up the ghost. No need for the latest iteration.

yeah, I'm still pretty happy with my OG SR25. Works great as a simple source for less-demanding IEMs, disappears in my pocket and the battery still seems to last forever.

Probably, although it would have to be like half the price of SR35. One consideration would be that the older models have the previous firmware version based on an older version of Android, so the newer ones like SR35 with A&K's newer firmware will likely get app updates for longer.

The SR25 mkii is a great DAP. Its performance really does justify the price, so if you can get a deal you should definitely go for it.
I also have the SE300, which I don't carry around outside. Too big and too valuable! My point is the SR25 mkii isn't a huge step down.
I had expected to retire it, but just keep using it everyday. One of the best things I've ever bought.

They all use Android 9 but SR35 has new interface...

Really? @JasonNYC seems to indicate here that the SR35 firmware is based on Android 11
https://www.head-fi.org/threads/astell-kern-launches-new-a-norma-sr35-player.967670/post-17696821

And the SR25 uses Android 9.0, as per A&K own site:
https://www.astellnkern.com/product/product_detail.jsp?productNo=6

Booting to recovery and other various hacking shows Android 9. Not sure why they said 11. Here is build.prop for SR35, it's clearly Android 9:
