Relevant (ish), are you aware of any stuttering issues when using Tidal? The download version.
I'm also getting the exact same issue with my SE300. Tracks stuttering randomly then Tidal crashes.
I can play the exact same tracklist via Qobuz with no problems at all.
I prefer Tidal so it's particularly frustrating, any information would be appreciated!

How much is the out of warranty battery replacement? Unbeknownst to me-as I rarely took it out of its leather case-my OG SR25 was developing a battery bulge, and last time I did take the case off, it was fine. Only realized the issue when it shut off. Was able to turn it on after a while, and shut off again, now in "dead" status. The battery was doing well for me-I never noticed a problem until these issues. No I do not leave it plugged in. Seems like that battery has run its course.

About $85. Varies based on the player. I'll have to verify for thr SR25 when the office is open on Monday.

It's version 2.98.2, I have had the issue for this and the last update.
I had wondered if it was wifi related, even for downloaded tracks.
I can reproduce almost at will, just by playing Pink Floyd. The track will be stuttering but the displayed track is different, it's a track previously played. Switch to Qobuz and play the exact same tracks and it's OK. Then I won't see the issue for a while.
Having it lurking at the back of my mind is probably my biggest concern.

It is impossible to find the results for my question due to too many false results, so if this has been asked, my apologies.

Where are the APK files downloaded by the "Download" option to update apps? They cannot be read, if found on the Download folder of the Service folder.

Indeed I cannot see most files within the SR25 itself besides the audio files. OR the folders are empty, and I am looking in the wrong place.

Sorry to complain, but I have to-there was an error while downloading the Qobuz file, and now it just states:

Parse error

There was a problem parsing the package

When trying to download it again, it assumes the file is there, and should be installed-no option to delete it or re-download it. Very silly flaw that should have been thought of when implementing this. And yes I know I can update them manually, as I used to do so. But the purpose of the Download Service is that I need not do that! If the software team doesn't see that as inadequate, I do not know what to tell you

Bet they won't care or read my post. I am away from my computer right now, so cannot connect via USB. A proper fix would have been to be able to easily access the auto-downloaded APK files, and make them delete-able within the SR25, so the program doesn't keep thinking it must install the faulty file. The Download program has lost all of its utility and purpose because of a bad APK file-at least concerning Qobuz.

Apologies for my tone above. Not very happy with the way it was programmed, not taking into considerations such real-life issues.

I had this problem two times on my sr25 MkII in one and half year. Another owner told that he had to change the battery 3 times. So be prepared to change it regularly.

Battery charge management is not smart on the sr25. The player heats up during charging, which would be understandable if it were an ultra-fast charge, but not when charging for 2.5 hours. The player is also hot during playback, which is not normal either.

I had intended to buy a top-of-the-range model, but I've lost confidence. In Europe, the after-sales service took 2 months to send me back the player and 2 months later the battery was swelling again. A&K, what a shame !

I decided to use my own solution to solve the problem. Since then, there's been no heating up when using or charging, and no swelling of the battery for 9 months now, when I've been using it every day.

Yes and yes.
I stream a lot at home and at the office.
I also have some very long playlists downloaded to use when no wifi is available.

Apple Music Classical is an app (IOS and Android) that works free if you have an Apple Music subscription. It only covers Classical music. The search is very different to that of pop-rock etc modern music. As a classical music fan I find it amazing, I can find easily all available versions of a certain work, all works by a composer or all works by a pianist or conductor. It also has some amazing curated playlists. It is great. It is not perfect but it is very good.
Apple Music Classical is available for Android and it has been anounced that SR25 will soon support Apple Music Classical.
Try it if you like classical! Also if you are starting with classical!

I don't think that it adds any music that isn't already on Apple Music but the interface is classical focused which makes finding stuff much easier.

It is true that it does not add any new music, but if you do many searches you will see that in the normal Apple Music many results will simply never come out, while you find those easily in Apple Classical.
If you search for example Brahms symphony 2 in Apple Music you get some relevant results (14) mixed with irrelevant ones like Brahms piano concertos and many missing relevant results. If you search in Apple classical you get first a recommendation and then 336 results, the majority of which do not come out in the search in Music. If you go to Brahms and go through all the results you will end up finding the 336 but it will take you a very long time.
The playlists and also the series The story of classical are really good.
The downside is you cannot download in Classical, but you can create a playlist, then it will appear in Music, and you can download it in Music.

The website should be updated soon. We are in the process of rolling out firmware updates for just about every player released in the last 6 years, so running a bit behind schedule on updating the website with info.

For SR25 firmware v 1.81 and SR25 MK II firmware v 1.31:

- Fixed CD-Ripping album issue when using AK CD-Ripper
- Multi-DSD Playback support added
- Apple Classic Music app support added
- System stability and optimization updates

Hi, I have installed firmware 1.81. I have tried to install Apple Music Classical with no success. I have tried Apple Classical 1.1.1 and also 1.0.0. In both cases the app starts and then this come out

Any ideas? Any help appreciated
