Hi, I have installed firmware 1.81. I have tried to install Apple Music Classical with no success. I have tried Apple Classical 1.1.1 and also 1.0.0. In both cases the app starts and then this come out

Any ideas? Any help appreciated

Not sure, but do you have Apple Music installed? They seem to work together. Just an idea.

Thanks Carolina fellow!, I do have Apple Music installed in the SR25. The Apple Music asks for login and password first time you use but the Classical simply asks for the typical page “do you want to share results” and after that the error page.

My SR35 hasn't gotten the update yet (I don't have an SR25) so I can't test how it's supposed to work for A&K. If it helps I have Apple Classical 1.1.1 and Apple Music 4.6.0 on my other Android DAP and it works.

The Classical app doesn't ask for an ID and Password at all, it just asks to connect to the Apple Music app. Are you logged in to Apple Music?

What version of Apple Music do you have installed on the player? I am charging my SR25 now and will test soon.

I have been using Apple Classical for a few weeks on other AK players ahead of the new firmware rollout, but did not test the SR25 ahead of time.

I have Apple Music 4.6.0. Also I have tried starting playing in Apple Music and if you have a classical album you will have The Apple Classical logo in the upper part. Pressing on that takes you to Apple Classical in IOS. In the SR25 it also takes you to Apple Classical but to the error page.

About $85. Varies based on the player. I'll have to verify for thr SR25 when the office is open on Monday.

Mr. Jason,

I cannot find the Astell&Kern link regarding their battery replacement process. I may have read it before. Perhaps Google is supplying me with the wrong links, "enhanced" by poor AI implementation. I do think that at least what appears to be the official website leaves much to be desired. Their search engine is truly horrid (no complaints about the SR25 itself, which had served me well until the battery got swollen and unusable.)

I live in US (NYC.) Thanks so much for all your kind help in the past few years since I purchased the OG SR25.

(I know some complain about the length of this service, but I am willing to go the "official" support route for now. I imagine it will take some months without the SR25, sadly.)

No issues for me installing Apple Classical after installing the firmware update and updating Apple Music to the latest version ( I was still on 3.6 for Apple Music).

I would suggest uninstalling Apple Classical and reinstall it. If that does not work, try logging out of Apple Music and back in again. I don't remember if that deletes any offline music you have downloaded though, I don't really use Apple Music often. If logging in again doesn't work, I would suggest uninstalling both and reinstalling Apple Music first, logging in, then install Apple Classical.

Also, I should mention, Apple Classical will not show up in the download tab until after February 29, when all of the other player firmware updates are rolled out. After the 29th, the APK will be in the download tab to install from there instead of having to manually install it.

Hi all - just a quick (and possibly dumb) question about the SR25. Is it possible to display the full running time of an album anywhere? I use mine commuting and would like to know if I'm going to fit in the whole album on my journey or not because that's the way my brain works. Any answers gratefully received, even if it's confirmation that this can't be done - it seems like such a simple thing I feel I must be missing something obvious though.

If stuck you could always create a playlist for that album, download it, you can see the playtime.
I'm currently using the SE300 but I'm pretty sure my SR25 does the same.

What is the version of the Tidal app that you are using? There were some reported issues on one of the earlier versions, but the latest version available seems to have fixed it.
I've found the problem, and work around advice.
I download the custom mixes, for when I don't have WiFi.
After Tidal updates your 8 mixes, when you select a mix your device downloads the new tracks. If you play the mix while still downloading you will get stuttering followed by a crash. Just drag down the top menu and you can see the downloading status, wait a minute and once stopped THEN play the mix.
I can recreate at will on SE300 and SR25 MKII, so it's a live issue.
