Quick update on playlists:

We've been testing here in the US and put together some detailed reports for the dev and engineering teams. Had a call last night with the various groups to discuss. Everyone fully understands the issue users are having now and as we all know, the engineering team agrees that since the Open App update, external playlists are broken. They need to research and check all the code to find out what the issue is and how to restore it. I have no ETA on this, it could be a quick process or could take a while. They will also need to test that any fix they implement will not break Open App or affect something else. Unfortunately again, I have no idea on timing, but there is now some urgency on figuring this out and working to resolve it.

Jason, please, please, please... is there any update on the issue where external playlists which are copied to the SR15 are "wiped" as they're transferred? This post above is from Feb 1st.

I will probably sell mine too....germany in this case. But till then..can somebody tell me how to change the information displayed in the now playing and playlist screen. I´m always getting the title it´s playing and the storage location. But not hte artist. Especially with some sampler it´s not really user friendly.

I believe the issue is related to the newer "split apk" format that Google is using to distribute some apps. Both Spotify and Apple Music are now using this new format. The apk files that are distributed on the download sites are not complete and/or packaged for the wrong architecture (I do not believe the SR-15 is an ARM64 device). I asked earlier on this thread but was met with dead silence.

I've just tried to load the latest Tidal APK (2.20.0) and it fails to run, presumably because of the split APK format, so I've had to uninstall completely and reinstall version 2.19.0. I spend probably >90% of my time with the SR15 using the Open App Service, if this isn't going to be supported in future then I'd like to know so I can figure out what I can do instead. Thanks in advance!

There is a firmware update being pushed out tomorrow morning Korea time (12/19) for all our players including the SR15 (late night in North America/Europe). I do not know if there is a fix for the playlist issue. I have reached out to the dev team to ask and to again stress the importance of fixing this issue, but I have not received an update with the list of fixes for this new firmware yet.

Our dev team was looking into supporting the XAPK format, but I haven't received an update. I do not think it is supported in the new firmware update being pushed out within the next 24 hours for the SR15.
