Well, if you've never broken off a 2.5 balanced plug then you might not see the light.
It also uses the ground sleeve of the 3.5mm which the 2.5mm doesn't.So what is the point of these duel plug adapters, vs a simple single male to male cable??

The end of this week, early next week is the tentative schedule. Should have more concrete dates in the next day or two, once the weekend is over. 10+ players with different firmware that all need to be pushed separately. The next firmware will also include bug fixes that were originally scheduled for May. From what I understand, the firmware is done, just going through internal QA testing.@JasonNYC when is the embedded Tidal App fix coming? Last I heard is was just "May", but when in May??

Will use PW adaptors with PW cables.Nice one but EA is better
I noticed with some adapter/cables between my AK2000 and the Cayin C9 when playing dsf files no sound is heard. AK to headphones work fine and other adapters to C9 work fine.
Why on earth would this be the case?
Update: I realise now that unplugging the 2.5mm and replugging seems to cure the issue but why is there an issue in the first place and only dsf files?
Yes the balanced icon shows up. File plays but no music. Then if you unplug and plug back it works. Seems to effect some adapters but not all?Make sure when you hook your aka adapter the balance connection icon shows up. If not unplug reconnect.
I always connect my adapter with my headphone cable inserted into the adapter.
I will test dsd to see what happens. But so far I have not experienced sound loss

Having searched this thread I see this is a known issue but no explanation as to why.
most UNlikelyit has to be related to this 3.5mm ground thing most likely
I also have the same issue with the SE200. I use the standard pw audio adapter (2.5 and 3.5 to 4.4)Yes the balanced icon shows up. File plays but no music. Then if you unplug and plug back it works. Seems to effect some adapters but not all?
