Anyone know if there is some place I the USA I can get a replacement battery for my KANN? The unit seems okay, but after a few minutes, it heats up to the point I can't even touch it.

According to JasonNYC it's a problem on Tidal side, so we have to wait when Tidal will fix it.

Really bad news! I believe AK should put extra effort to solve this issue with AK Kann. This player is still available in some shops and basically it has lost on of its main features...

I loved my kann and ak70,2, and tidal was my music,,, now in doomed,,,these players should still be supported and Jason, AK should not accept this and this needs resoled ASAP,, for the essense and foundation of AK long history and AK reputation,

i would not buy another AK product as this is bad,
These players should last a lifetime
There is no techical reason why Tidal should not work, appears intentional, i could see no more updates but cutting off older models not good,

i have emailed Headfi, asking to report this as major news, i am also emailing some tech audio magazines asking them to report this major issue as if not resolved and a serious black eye to AK and Tidal

The issues with the Tidal app have nothing to do with A&K. It is Tidal who is nolonger supporting older Android versions and hardware. While this is unfortunate it is how things work. The KANN still works it's just the Tidal app that will not. You can only blame and thank Tidal for that no one else. Resolvable issues with the KANN itself is all on A&K.

I understand that but AK allowing and accepting this is not acceptable, if only temporary and fixed soon understand but if this is permanent and AK allows or does not demand fix for its players, then they are guilty as well,,im sure others agree,
I just learned about this today and hopefully a fix is in the works but if not
I emailed my tech news reporter friend and asked him about this as this major news and effects lots of users
The abilty to stream is a major function of these players

While I understand that you are upset you can't blame A&K. It's Tidal's app just a bit tweaked to work on the player. Sign-in and authentication schemes are not under A&K's control. These things are propriety to Tidal. I'm sure A&K did what they can but at the end of the day it's software on a device that is no longer going to be supported by the company that created it. The one to complain to is Tidal not A&K.
