Matter of speculation. Not sure if there's enough demand for a new amplifier for AK to revisit the issue. They are more likely to be working on unveiling entirely new products. But who knows with AK?

AK will likely do whatever the current base of customers allow. At the moment they are fully aware that AK owners do not think too hard about buying an entire new line of DAPs and add ons that are not backwards compatible with prior generations. I was very surprised when they announced the AK320, but I would guess that not too many AK320 owners purchased the amp.
 
I also don't think that AK has hit a hard ceiling in terms of what their target market will pay for their to highest end DAP. I would speculate that whatever the next AK DAP is will have a starting price of $4299. I am not arguing whether any DAP is worth that much, but as long as enough people are willing to pay that amount, AK will keep making them.

They are showing digital recorder upto Dsd as a module for the 380...

There's still shelf life for the 380 I believe...

I'm getting annoyed by your posts about AK380Cu being the best of the best of the best etc. We all know what your statement is about that player so please write something we don't know next time;]

i wish i could listen to ak380cu and judge myself, but many praise it so it gotta be good and different
