Just wanted to Share my Joy cause this Friday I get my AK Amp for my 380! Looking forward to hearing the difference with my Oppo PM-1, Now I only have one question bout charging once I get the AK AMP, my 380 will already be 100% charge, can I still charge them together? And will it let me know once the AMP is fully Charged? Thanks in Advance.
Mike

Yes, they can be charged together. If your charger is 5V=2A or above then both units will charge. If your charger is below 2A then only the 380 will charge but the amp won't.

Any time you are charging through the amp's micro USB the white light next to it will come on, it will go off by itself when charging is finished for both units.

Charging the two separately is quicker than together.

Thanks for that info. I charge my 380 through USB port through my Panamax MR4300. Really looking forward to getting this gem!

I couldn't care less about the figures, the fact is once you listen to the Copper, there is no going back to the original 380. I am surprised at how the materials could make such a night and day difference, a difference even greater than AK380 over AK240. You guys really owe yourselves to hear this one before judging. It is that good.

I wish I could say "I couldn't care less about the figures". As important as music is to me, I do care about the figures. I will still give Copper a try but in case it does sound tempting to me, I can always convince myself not to buy it with the reason of color mismatch with the amp.

the color mismatch was the damned reason that I convinced myself to get 380 instead of 320 lol, can't believe it's at work now to save you some money! That is, until the copper amp comes out. Then by the time you get that, AK380 Platinum gets announced.

And when the AK380 Platinum amp comes out, the AK480 gets announced. When the AK480 amp comes out, ........

There is just no end to this - so just get what is the best available item at that time which you can afford. At this point of time, that is the AK380 Copper - and not by a small margin.

Cheers,
Lou

Nice - do you prefer over the original AK380?

Definitely, the original 380 is already very good but the Cu version made the music more engaging. I couldn't put the damn thing down after hearing it!

Exactly. AK380 is a bit more lively than the sound of the 240, but AK380 Cu just takes it to a whole other level. It is as if I AM at the live performance albeit just listening to IEMs (Layla in this case). Really can't go back to the AK380 anymore.

Not to disappoint you but I still feel the ak380 amp does not drive the oppo pm1 well, as I have the ak380 and ak380 amp and the oppo pm1, compared to the alo mk3 b amp
