I changed my cable so 1.19 is just right for me, otherwise I might prefer 1.17 too which I'm too lazy to check with my old cable. What you said there is interesting though that opposed to what some people claim, the source does matter with Hugo - not like it always sound the same no matter what you feed into it.

Anyway, I've tried to downgrade from 1.18 to 1.17, but haven't tested it on 1.19. Can't guarantee it will work.

so guys is it possible to go back to 1.17 and from where can we get 1.17 firmware

oh no, i tried layla, angie and roxette and 846. 846 is number 1 in bass. But layla mids kill 846. so big and uncomfortable. It is like putting a strawberry into your ear.
If bass is what you want, 846 is king.

AK380 original color is perfect, the copper version in fact look not as sophisticate. Unless you are a pimp, some royal family members and aristocrati. I bet platinum version is next.

oh i just think of something, diamonds, full of diamonds after they release platinum. They can charge 9999 dollars for that, and someone will buy it.

is there any truth to the below which i qouted from headphonia review of 1 plus 2 about straight plugs and daps

"The only gotcha is that the 3,5 plug goes in straight. If you’re an owner of a large modern DAP- say like the AK240, or Calyx M, or what have you, take care. Plugging this straight cable straight in, may, in the long run, damage your player. Ditto if you have an amp. Straight plugs are only good for desktop and home audio. For portable audio, they are a no no."

can you please guys also help me out in buying a 1/4 to 1/8 coverter from ebay or a site that ships internationally to use with my oppo pm1 and ak380, and if the above is true then is a curved 90 degree converter to avoid damaging the dap

I would wait for a new model, probably would come out in the year 2016.

The life cycle of AK380 might be already half way through, if you look at the past AK records from history.

Interesting concept of lifecycle. Even though the AK240 was released two years ago and the AK380 was released a year ago AK are still releasing updates for both of them. In fact the AK240 (and their other older players as well) has had considerable functionality increases since the release of the AK380. I actually think this is fairly impressive and shows that the 'lifecycle' of their products is much longer than you seem to think.

Why does a straight connector damage the DAP?

i think its not possible to change back as i asked few times and no one answered so i assume changing from 1.19 to 1.17 is not possible
