To keep this on topic, I also predict a joint press announcement along with the AK380 - a specially tuned and branded AK version of the HD800 for $1999.

Which part of that webpage says that's an SD card? It looks like an average SSD.

Does it have an SD card connector? It says it has 6GB/s SATA interface. The biggest out there now is Sandisk Extreme Pro 512GB SD card.

You`re right - sorry about that! I was down a rabbit hole of Japanese bloggings about the 1TB SD card and someone linked to that SSD, and I didn`t look closely enough.  I deleted it.

Remeber, Sandisk guys asked 899 dollars when they first released that 512GB Extreme Pro SD card. If they make a 1TB SD card, I'm sure they will look for 1,000 dollars or even more.
It will NEVER come at price of 400 dollars. To see a 1TB SD card priced under 500 dollars, we have to wait at least six years.

Never say never in the tech world . . .  That Extreme Pro is down to $675 officially here, and much less on the street.  And for audio, that kind of speed is not necessary.  When the lower-cost card makers release theirs, I`m sure a 1TB SD card will be `cheap`.  Whether a device can use it or not is the question.

In any case, they`re overdue. I could easily fill a TB card with music . . .

All of other manufaturers are still stuck at 256GB since 2014.
It will not going to happen any time soon. If someone says they have a 1TB SD card, it's a scam. Sandisk has the technology. They will be the first to release it. They will have the control over its price. Unfortunately, they're not interested in giving it away for a cheap price. They still charge 300 dollars for their 256GB SD card.

It looks like other manufacturers are copying Sandisk's SD cards and offering them at lower costs. However, they take much time to be able to do it. It's been nearly nine months since Sandisk has released the first 512GB SD card. No other manufacturer is capable of copying their product at the moment.
