What version of android is this player using @JasonNYC ??
Sorry, thought I answered this. Android 10 I believe. I know it is at least Android 9 as it has LDAC, but I believe they are using Android 10 in the SE180.

God dang it...this DAP hits all the right buttons for me. I have to give more love to my SP1000 - it's getting jealous...

I auditioned the SE180 today.
The AKM module is very dynamic, has a lot of detail, texture and pleasant timbre. It is both smooth and detailed which is a rare combination. Above Fiio M15 level.
The Sabre module is even more detailed at the cost of being a bit darker and not that smooth and colourful.
Both are impressive. The soundstage layering and positioning good but not as good as on Kann Cube though.
I gave a short listen to SP2000 SS as well and it was more of Sabre style, hiper-detailed, too much information and resolution for my head. Could be tiring in longer listening sessions.

Thanks for the quick impression! What headphones did you use?

I can't wait to try this because the modules feature is a great idea, like changing tubes to get a different sound with the benefits of solid state. Yes! Stay tuned for my unboxing/first look video. :)

Is this a quad or eight core CPU? What is the UI performance like?

It says quad-core on the UK site. That's not enough information to really determine performance, however. I would guess Rockchip RK3326, same as Kann Alpha and SR25 (based on the similar Android 9 specification).
