The best eartips are SpinFit and AZLA SednaEarfit range (the latter being better for ANC as denser).
Thank you. I use Azla's on my wired IEWM's in size MS. Would I likely want the same for edna Earfit Max for TWS as well?

They are rather pricey so I don't want to do too much trial and error with sizes.

I tried the Max (not fond of that honeycomb design in any ear tips as it effects sound) and they are not as good passively for me as the Crystals.

They claim they are thinner but more isolating, but they have an even newer MAX ASMR model out also but not on Amazon UK only US so far.

I get the largest size be it L or XL so long as they around 14mm.

bt-w5 is junk, I don't understand why it doesn't reach max volume. I upgraded the firmware as well and couldn't find any relevant settings in the desktop app either. Returned and keeping btd600 as my go-to with k9bp as back-up. Btd600 works very well for phone calls too, it automatically switches to SBC for the call and switches back to aptx adaptive.
Oh man I spoke too soon. I updated to latest firmware and now btd600 giving me all the crackling/distortion in the world with each playback…

I then proceed to test creative bt-w5, I discovered that if I turn on my Bluetooth headphones first then plug in the adapter, I don’t get any cracking at all. Stable sound no distortion. I also managed to force it to accept a no effect profile where no eq etc is applied. The volume now sounds on par with btd600. Probably the sequencing in turning on the devices help set a channel that is stable.

I've re-plugged w5 with tws iems still on, but was still getting low volume. What bt headphones are you using ?

I'm using Beoplay H95, at 57% volume already giving similar loudness as BTD600. Make sure you set sound mode to Effects Off as seen below. Also make sure nothing is set in Acoustic Engine and Equalizer:

Also, I remembered I installed the driver as well:

Went through the desktop app setup as well. Was still getting low volume through android which is where I plug in the dongles for listening. Do you have android phone/tablet to try by any chance ?

BTW I'm a bit of a newbie to TWS in-ears. I like the sound of the FiiTii HiFiDots with one off the included eartip sets but if there are some aftermarket tips that work well for TWS's to take them to the next level, I'd live to hear what others have had success with.
I always use SonicFoam tips. They don’t fit well in charging cases but they offer a great seal and comfort for my ears. Their large is like everyone else’s XL.

try checking the system volume is set to 100% on pc/desktop with it as the active device.
I've had 1 or 2 of devices (sorry can't remember which) carry over the volume like that when connected to android afterwards

already returned w5, but i did try a similar trick by connecting my tws iems to phone directly and turning the volume to max; then disconnecting from phone and connecting to w5. but still got the same low volume outcome.

anyway, i'm satisfied with btd600 for my use case. would've preferred to keep w5 since using on android phone the smaller footprint the better, however btd600 with usb-c adapter on is only slightly larger than w5.

Are there any bluetooth transmitters with AptX Adaptive and LE Audio? I think that is the QCC308x series

(ideally AptX LL as well)
Not yet. You'll get either LE Audio or A2DP as of now because of firmware limitations, and there are no QCC3086 dongles yet. You can always buy QCC3086 module (BTM386) and flash firmware by yourself (tho I'd recommend going for QCC5181 module - BTM581).

Has anyone determined how to get the Sennheiser BTD 600 to use 24/96 that was supposedly added in the last firmware update? No matter what I try, it only transmits 24/48. I have checked it out with both my Q5K and BTR7 with the same results. Notably, at least the bitrate now seems to vary (previously it stayed at ~ 279 kbps).

Note that the USB connection does support 24/96, but BT transmit is always 24/48.
