The firmware update keeps failing on mine. Simply says "Upgrade Fail, Failed Command : 4"

The dongle (KB8P) is still readable by the assistant app. It still works otherwise.

It shows as version 1.0 when attached to the Dongle Assistant app.

My KB9 shows as version 1.8.

KYLIN WING has released KB9P, the successor to KB9. It also supports aptX adaptive 24bit 96kHz. share.

I just noticed my KB9 was 16/48 a couple of days ago when I attached it to my Mac. ‘Here we go again’.

I can’t believe they’re bothering to differentiate on this. Unless they’re adding a heatsink or something Because the chip will work harder. Otherwise, I’d respect them more for differentiating on the programmability of the codecs. The KB9 has programmable codecs.

I think I’m done. Will just wait for the aptX Lossless version built on the S3 If such a dongle comes along.

Yes, I know they were still going to be using the BT 5.2 name, but only later chipsets (due soon) would support LE/LC3, so they now decided to call it BT 5.3 which is better as less confusion if you want the new features but are unsure if the BT 5.2 earbuds have them or not.

I found a new document on the Qualcomm site QCC 305x is 5.3.

I asked the seller of this dongle. When connected with aptX Adaptive on the receiver, both the LEDs of the HD and LL buttons light up. Also, AptX Adaptive's high-quality mode and low-latency mode cannot be set manually by users, this protocol is set automatically when adaptive. It says that this protocol cannot be set to another protocol.
