Pretty much every review I've read of the r3 says its amazing and a more warm signature. I've been mega tempted by one, but with so much unprotected curved glass going on everywhere it looks like a smashed accident waiting to happen.

The ap80 looks much more solid and bomb proof to me. Plus I love a good volume dial

Looking at the numbers for sound, it almost looks like AP80 is a downgrade compared to AP60 Pro, everything is similar except channel separation. Could this be due to smaller size or perhpas inflated numbers in AP60's spec sheet?

Honestly, Hiby R3 looks like the perfect budget-midrange, high quality DAP.
I wonder if the difference in SQ from other well reviewed but cheaper DAPs is worth it.

I see ReplayGain is a setting. That should please a few of us old guard who remember when that was a feature people cared about.

Load playlist is an interesting menu option. Does this mean that Hidizs/Hiby are finally going to recognize external playlists within the category/database mode? Intriguing look. Thanks, Expat.
