Agreed. I'd be filling his PM box daily as well, and quoting his every post, followed by "THIS GUY RIPPED ME OFF FOR $250 DONT TRUST HIM", appropriate timing or not.

To be honest the only thing that I find distressing about the whole ordeal (other than being out $250) is the fact that people still wish him happy birthday around here... |

Also, behaving like that would only serve to derail otherwise unrelated conversations and that's just counterproductive in general. At some point you just have to move on and concentrate on what is good about these forums, not what is bad. If the individual had any intention of refunding my money (as he originally said he would) I'm sure he would have. However, the last time that I brought it up he flaunted the fact that he would never do so. Based on that I made the decision to move one. I almost didn't post anything in this thread as I don't have much of a desire to relive the whole thing another time but I think it's an important thing for others to hear about, even the most honorable appearing members are not above question. I try not to act paranoid in my dealings since the bad experience was perhaps one of a hundred or so transactions I've had here. Nonetheless I do take a bit of a different look at things now and tend to take as many steps as possible to protect both myself and the other individual so there can be no chance of a repeat experience. |
