I just steer them away from bose and let them make their own decisions after that.

It wouldn't be hard considering most young people like over-blown bassy phones like the sony EX series. You've just created a basshead. Now he'll think all music has to have lots o' bass and shrill highs to sound good. My young brother has EX51's and still uses bass boost. I let him try my SR225's and he just says there not enough bass. |
