I was trying to remember his name a few days ago - I believe it was all tongue-in-cheek but I’m still not 100% certain to this day

With that fabulous, if spoiled, view of lower Manhattan, and the waters and land beyond the battery. That was a great meet to just sit back and enjoy. And quiet if you were there to listen. Not that there was a spectacular amount of gear to listen to, but enough for a small meet, and plenty of time. You can see it in the picture--at some point we all just sat down to eat and chat.

Joined March of 2008. We're now in March of 2024. 16 years later crazy how time flies. I haven't tinkered with my setup I'm content with it and just enjoy it for what it is. No plans of changing/upgrading. Since that's the case I mostly just lurk these days.
