Hi Guys-
First post, thanks for having me.
I have a set of Grado RS-1s which I use, among other things, for checking rock mixes in the studio. The famous Grado 2/4/10 khz spikes really make it easy to hear what's going on with all those overdriven guitars. That being said, those peaks are so far forward that it becomes difficult to spot problems elsewhere in the spectrum -- particularly in the lower mids. I often cross-reference on a set of AKG k701s for this reason.
Anyway, I've been thinking that I might like the RS-1s even more if they had a little *less* of the Grado house sound, and that's when I ran across discussion here of the Alessandro MS-Pros. Anyone have a pair in New York City? I'd love to hear them. If they're what I think they are, I might even be up for a trade. My RS-1s are about a year and half old, in perfect working order, and nicely broken-in at this point.
Thanks!
