Android phones and USB DACs

Sorry StanD, I don't understand your reply.
I want to improve the sound quality of my Android device by using a DAC/Amp, Isn't that what the A 200p is?
I assumed that since Idevice users use it to bypass their DACs it must be USB, am I wrong?
Beyer claim compatibility with Android

I mistook your question. Why not look for a review of the A200p or even better see if you can find one to try for yourself.
Many owners of the latest generation iPod Touch swear by the internal DAC and amp and feel that if the Touch can drive their headphones, they have no need of anything external. I don't know if that's quite true.

Apparently the audio jack on my S3 keeps on breaking--I'm on my 3rd replacement--so I just ended up buying a HifimeDIY Android micro-USB DAC as a replacement for not using the jack. I'm not too picky with audio quality, and I know the set-up is going to work with Spotify, PowerAmp, the physical buttons and whatnot, but are there any downsides or anything wrong with plugging my IEMs directly into the DAC? I've read about muddied sounds and high sibilance, but maybe that's just bad information out in the wild. For the record, I mainly use low-powered IEMs.

S'alright, thanks for the suggestions anyway.
My interest in this device is that it might provide a compact solution to my main goal, which is to maximise my enjoyment of Spotify via my Android phone.
I'm not really interested in i-devices, even though I covet the iphone4/vamp combo (the form factor at least, I've never heard one, but I love the cable-free & compact nature of the device).

I've read the reviews for the A200p ( and AK variant ), and can't say that I'm overly enthused by them, but it is small, and has it's own battery.

The most useful thing for me would be a simple list of usb dac/amps reported to work with Android.
Once I'd found any that match the form factor/features I'd like, I could then use Danba's amazing work to check compatibility with any phones I might consider/already have.

Is there such a thing as a simple list of portable USB DAC/AMP's where I can start?
I know of a few devices, but I bet there are many which I'm ignorant of.

If V Moda ( or FiiO/iBasso etc for that matter )decide to make a V-amp style case/dac-amp to fit the Sony Xperia z1 compact I will be launching money at them so hard they'll need armour.

DanBa, thanks for the heads up about both the LH Labs Geak Out and the Beyer A200.  Does anyone know what DAC chips they'll be using?

More generally, what are people's thoughts about which Android compatible DAC offers the most accurate sound?  As for me, I keep waiting to find something better than the Pico.  But nothing I've yet heard is.  NZ, have you switched over to the Dragonfly 1.2?  I really want to hear one of those, but I'm not confident it'll work with my OGP.  Sometimes it sucks having a less common phone.

Now that I have a 128GB microSD card, I'm mostly using the Dragonfly to be honest. It only really works via UAPP, so the increased local storage makes a world of difference as to how usable it is for me with the phone - with enough local storage the form factor just puts it over the top. It's basically an inline DAC/amp, which is really where you want to be with this whole game if you're going for truly portable, rather than transportable.

When I want to just listen to Spotify and stuff then the Pico still serves very nicely there.

Please resist the urge to use meaningless advertising buzz words like UHQA, it's just 24-bit audio :)

As to your question, I've no idea I'm afraid - I expect it will come to the higher end models this year.

At request of @DanBa

LG G2 -> OTG cable -> Pangea USB-PC -> iFi iPurifier -> Resonessence Labs Herus

Native music player app support for up to 24-bit/192 kHz FLAC files.

The G2 is a great phone that has gone largely overlooked by the "it's a Samsung world" crowd.

can you use the" USB Pro player" to see if it recognize the DAC as 192khz?
I am asking since I have tried "hifime DIY saber" with the G2 and USB Pro player and I could see the DAC work at 44.1, which mean it down sample the signal.

I want to know if this related to the specific DAC.

Thanks
