The links to other threads don't work because a lot of data was lost when the site crashed last November. You will find this in a lot of old threads.

What sized plug did you get on your MS-1s? Is there any difference in sound?

Thinking of getting a pair of these as a change to my Senn HD-580s (with amps Mini^3 & Little Dot Mk1, if that ever arrives).

Plug doesn't change the sound. the 1/8th plug plugs into mini jacks like your ipod or DAP's. The 14th plug is twice as big and plugs into most desktop amps and receivers.

so after my SR60s bit the dust about two weeks ago (modding accident, theyre with grado getting repaired right now), i decided to make a small upgrade to the MS1s. took about a week and a half to come (i ordered thursday night, got them monday the week after), but i'm loving every inch of them right now. i wasn't really sure what the "analytical" quality that everyone was talking about exactly was, but after listening to the MS1s for a few hours i think i can say that i'm liking them more than i did my SR60s!

so count me in as a member of the MS1 fan club!

My MS1's are pretty much ruling everything I throw at them! Got them today and I am loving them so far, not better than the sr80 but different, more suited to my preferences.

Got mine today
Took three weeks
Paid UK tax of £16.92
So total price were £66.92
Which I think is not bad.

Been listening to them. Quite impressed need to be burned now.Like the bass.
Much better than the SONY V500 ones. Compared them to a SENNHEISER SP125, (British Airways pair), and they SENNS sound seemed cleaner more trebly mid range.

Hi,

I am considering between ms1 and ad700. I need headphone for listening to vocals (male and female); mostly movie songs which are studio recordings (so no large soundstage). For movie tracks, i have ath m30. Can someone please tell me how good are ms1 for vocals?

Thanks.
