That's what I bought, there is no mention of the smaller pads but they were shipped along with the G pads

Considering getting the MS1e "original" -- the one with the shallower cups.  I already have the MS2i and Grado SR325e, and I've had the SR 80i and SR80e in the past, so curious as to how the MS1e with the shallow cups will sound.
 
I want the shallower cups because I'm looking for the most portable Grado sound that isn't an iGrado or eGrado.
 
I'm finding not a lot of people have the MS1e with the shallow cups, although it does seem some it may lose some SQ benefits of the bigger cups.

Hi all, just got my pair of MS-1s last month, and within 2 weeks sent it back to be fixed for channel imbalance issues. Just received my fixed pair yesterday, and thought it sounded very "hollow", as though the plug weren't plugged in properly into the jack, am hoping that burning them in will resolve this issue.
 
Anyone else encountering this as well?

The Alessandro website says the MS-2 uses a 1/4" plug – you're going to need a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter.

Hi. I just got my ms1 from alessandro. But the drivers isnt red but blanc ish. Have they sent me the i-version and not the e-version?

I heard the red ("e-series") drivers were a limited run and they have changed the color back to black, with the same improvements. If you got them directly from Alessandro, it is probably newer stock.
