Love these speaker cables.  What brands are the speaker and the tube amp?

The speakers are the brand new Raidho XT-1s and the amp is a Luxman MQ88.

These speakers reminds me of a pair sonus faber extrema I listened during the 1994 Sterepphile Show in San Francisco. It was mind blowing. I couldn't afford it, I ended up bought a pair Totem and Luxman 105u alone with a 18bit Yamaha cd player.

Well, the Extremas were quite a bit larger as well as being a full range design. Totems were great speakers back then, probably still are but I haven't listened to a pair in 20 years.

For those who may want a AK240SS, Buydig.com (U.S.) is selling an open box for $1900. You can use coupon code "clearout20" for another 20% off to put it at $1520 which is the price of a AK120II. I thought it was a great deal. I just can't pull the trigger, but someone may benefit from it.

FYI important. For Buydig open boxes, you can't return it unless it's defective on arrival. Also the warranty is voided, so 3rd party insurance like squaretrade is highly recommended which isn't cheap for this item.

I purchased mine from them and I highly recommend getting one from them. Mine was new open box condition and I have absolutely no problems with it. I did purchase the square trade warranty to be on the safe side.

Hey guys did they ever fix the issue with the 2.5mm being too loose? Hows the battery life? And is the ui smooth especially when scrolling through songs? The ak240 duralium seemed to lag quite a bit when I tried it at a shop. Thanks guys.

2.5mm plug was never loose. It is just the stainless steel body that touches trrs grounding.

I bought silver dragon for shure se846 balanced. Built quality is so good and simple.
It did great job in making se846 more detailed.

Hey guys, newbie here wanting some suggestions about making a decision. Any help would be awesome

I'm currently using an AK Jr. with the new AK Roxanne II, previously with the Shure SE846. I've been eyeing the AK240SS and the new AK320.
From what I can tell the AK240SS is retiring soon? Many places seem to be clearing their stock and some stores in Hong Kong have been promoting it for around $1,500USD this past week, making it a crazy deal. I could possibly save up longer for the AK380 but that's too far out of my price range right now. And the price of the copper one is just

So I guess my question is- would it be better to get the AK240SS that's soon to be retiring (will it still get further software support and such in the future?) or is the AK320 a better choice? From what I've been reading the AK240SS still outmatches the new 320. I'm currently in HK where I can get either the 240SS for $1,500USD or the 320 PLUS the amp for $1,800USD.

What should I doooooo?

If you have a lot DSD files, then buy the ss, bear in mind $1500 is for the demo unit.

I would get the SS as it has true DSD. Heard that the 320 is not so impressive from my friends in Japan.
