Production is going really well, and we should ship all the pre-orders within 7-10 working days of getting the cases. I'm still awaiting the shipping confirmation from the vendor... Hey, any other folk with the early production units want to chime in? We sent a few out...

If someone places a new order today what is the delivery time frame?

It's a 3.5 mm with a 6.3mm that screws on top.
 really ?
Hah I jumped on that iFi Micro iDSD Black Label because I realized I wouldn' be able to listen to the Aeons as I don't have anything with 6.3mm ouput to plug em. Only 3.5mm on my pc and my trusty 4.4mm / 3.5mm Sony WM1A dap.
But it's all geeeeewd (*Jim Carrey voice*). I bet it'll make the Aeon all the better.

I've got to say... those pictures of the case on page 75 of this thread... wow, just wow. Thanks! I mean, I could care less about how beautiful it is, but it is also functional. Those pictures help a lot. Thank you again.

This is my first high quality headphones after the Audio-Technica M50x, so I can't wait to have them.

Similar here. Currently enjoying music with the Audio-Technica M50, though I can't find adequate replacement pads that can keep the same SQ.
That was actually the main reason to look for new headphones :)

Hi Dan,

Does my X-Can V8 amp have a low enough output impedance to drive the Aeons well? It's 2 ohms.

This was answered a few pages back (I believe page 79):
@mrspeakers Would an amp's output impedance of 2 ohms negatively impact the sound of the Aeon? I'm asking under the assumption that InnerFidelity's posted impedance for these headphones (under 14 ohms) is accurate. Thanks!

Nope. Our headphone is essentially a resistor, unlike dynamic headphones output impedance doesn't affect frequency response. That said, the higher the output impedance of an amp the less power gets to the headphone (for solid state), I wouldn't use output impedance higher than 2-3 ohms. Most new gear is < 1 ohm.

I have the Lake People G-109. What is the output impedance? Recommended for this headphone?

Specifications

I have the Violectric V100, which I think is substantially similar to the G-109. I see no reason why it wouldn't be a good pairing with the Aeon. Sounds fine with the Mad Dog 3.2, the only other planar headphone I have at the moment.

The amp should be ok, it'll produce at least 350mW into AEON, which is enough to get dangerously loud. The specs do indicate the amp is better at swinging voltage than current, but you won't run out of juice at any reasonable SPL.

On my HPA v90, the output impedance is 0.16 ohms, I imagine the G-109 would be similar.

It looks like the cases and boxes will arrive on the 15th or 16th, so we will start shipping no later than the 17th and I expect all the discounted pre-orders to ship within 7-10 days, possibly faster.
